Hi Johanne, Great suggestion! While oxalates could be a concern for an individual person at the population level we don't see it in the data. For example, we don't see any credible data of this being an issue in the Mediterranean diet, traditional Asian diet, any of the Blue Zone diets of the longest lived people, hunter gatherer diets like the Tsimane people, etc. In fact all of these diets have been shown in countless studies to promote health and longevity and a life mostly free of cardiovascular disease. Thanks for reading and commenting! I've seen intermittent fasting work extremely well for some of my patients. It all depends on the individual and what they eat when they aren't fasting. Glad to hear the AFib Cure is still at the top of your nonfiction favorites!!!
