John, I just finished watching your talk on A-fib. You were the one who diagnosed me with A-fib and infact, you were the Dr. who placed my pacemaker in. I just had the yearly exam and it is good for another 10 years. You mentioned in your talk that folks with A-fib can reverse the problem. Is this true even if I have a pacemaker? I have just started a new way of life plan called Noom. I am so hooked to it and everyday has some happiness to start out with. I have lost 20 pounds and am starting to feel good. Can the pacemaker ever come out even when my weight loss is completed?
Just seeing you again, my friend, was so uplifting. You have not aged one day since I saw you six years ago. Say hello to your precious wife for and a big hug to you.

As a 70 year old diagnosed with a- fib a few months ago ( 69 year old) I wonder if neglected hypertension means the damage is done and even if lifestyle changes now can reduce weight, BP, is it unlikely that a-fib can be controlled through lifestyle changes?
I read your book, appreciated the information and am following your suggestions.
Thank you.
